Preparations for the 3rd Yeditepe Biennial continue with excitement in the art world. Fatih Ömeroğlu, one of the curators of the biennial, came together with the artists to discuss the details and venue arrangements of the works to be exhibited at Sirkeci Station Hangars. This year's biennial, which will be shaped around the theme ‘Where There is Shadow, There Must be Light’, invites art lovers to reflect on the metaphors of light and shadow.
In the meeting organised under the leadership of curator Fatih Ömeroğlu, a detailed inspection was made on the artists who will participate in the biennial and the places where the works will be exhibited. While developing projects in line with the Biennial theme, a comprehensive exchange of ideas was carried out in order to enrich the experience to be offered to art lovers.
At the meeting, a wide evaluation was made on the theme of ‘Where There is Shadow, There Must be Light’. The artists discussed the artistic depth of the theme and shared how they would handle the concepts of shadow and light in their works. In this context, the biennial aims to go beyond being just an art exhibition and offer visitors a deep intellectual and visual experience.
The Sirkeci Train Station Hangars, where the exhibitions will be held, offer an ideal space for the biennial with its historical atmosphere and spacious layout. The unique characteristics of the venue are expected to create a unique platform for the placement and presentation of the works to be exhibited, while creating an atmosphere that will increase the depth of meaning of the works.
As a result of the curator-artist meetings, projects in line with the vision and theme of the biennial will be shaped and the final version of the artistic works will be finalised in this process. The 3rd Yeditepe Biennial is eagerly awaited in the art world and it aims to offer visitors a rich exhibition experience.
