Born in 1984 in Üsküdar, Istanbul, Şahin completed his primary school education at Burhaniye Primary School. During his secondary and high school education, he studied Islamic sciences while he was serving as a hafiz at the Ismail Aga Qur'an Course affiliated to the Directorate of Religious Affairs. After graduating from Anadolu University Faculty of Economics, he started Islamic Calligraphy (Hüsn-i Hat) classes of Mustafa Parıldar at the Classical Turkish Arts Foundation in 2013. He learnt Ruqah, Thuluth, Naskh, Diwani and Jali Diwani scripts.

He is currently working as the assistant of Mustafa Parıldar at the Classical Turkish Arts Foundation.
