Ayşin Mete

Born in 1972 in Kocaeli, the artist graduated from Gebze Technical and Industrial Vocational High School and continues her education at Eskişehir Anadolu University, Department of Electricity. She took illumination lessons from Ümmü Gülsüm Terzi between 2006-2009, from Berna Karabulut between 2009-2012, and from Serap Bostancı between 2014-2020, and continues to work with Serap Bostancı. Many of his works have been exhibited in the art of illumination.

In 2012, the artist started to take quilling (katı') lessons from Ayşe Kiraz and in 2014, she was awarded the second prize in the Solid' Art Competition organised by GESMEK. In 2017, she completed her quilling education at the Classical Turkish Arts Foundation under the supervision of Safiye Morçay and graduated and continues to work with Morçay. The artist participated in the *International Seven Hills Seven Arts* competition and won the incentive award in the category of quilling in the *Masters of the Future Traditional Arts Design Competition* in 2018.

The artist graduated from the Classical Turkish Arts Foundation in 2024.
