Bayram Sarıipek spent his childhood and education years in Karabük. His interest in painting began as early as primary school; although he grew up in an environment where art was not very popular, he kept alive his desire to explore by drawing in every free space throughout his school life.
His acquaintance with traditional art took place with a short-lived illumination experience. The fixed rules of illumination caused him to turn to miniature art, where he could work more freely. In 2017, he started to receive training from miniature artist Emine Navruz at the Academy of Traditional Arts under the supervision of Taner Alakuş, one of the important representatives of today's miniature art.
Sarıipek, who prefers stone watercolour, gouache, acrylic and gold on paper in his works, creates original works by using traditional techniques as well as digital possibilities. The artist, who lives in Istanbul, dreams of opening his first solo exhibition in a charming house in Safranbolu, his hometown, while continuing his work in new stories and different searches.
