Kübra Uysal

Born in 1988 in Istanbul, the artist graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Traditional Turkish Arts. During her undergraduate education, she took lessons from miniature artist Taner Alakuş and continued her education in the artist's workshop at the Şale Mansion of the TBMM National Palaces Education Units. In the same period, she became a student of Taner Alakuş at ISMEK Specialisation Centre.

The artist completed her master's degree at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University Institute of Fine Arts, Department of Traditional Turkish Arts, Branch of Miniature in 2019 with her thesis titled "Technical Analysis of Miniatures of Topkapı Palace Museum Library's Manuscript of Kalila and Dimna numbered H. 363" (“Topkapı Sarayı Müzesi Kütüphanesi H. 363 Numaralı Kelile ve Dimne Nüshasının Minyatürlerinin Teknik Analizi”). Immediately afterwards, she started the Proficiency in Art programme at the same university and maintains her studies at the thesis stage. The artist, who has participated in many exhibitions, continues to improve her knowledge in traditional miniature art with her academic studies.
