Born in 1976 in Trabzon, he completed his hafiz education in 1991 and graduated from Trabzon Imam Hatip High School in 1997. He graduated from Selçuk University Faculty of Theology in 2002 and from DİB Konya Selçuk High Specialisation Centre in 2008. In 2018, he completed his master's degree at Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Traditional Turkish Arts.
In 1999, the late Prof. Fevzi Günüç started to practice Thuluth script and completed his Thuluth-Naskh scripts with R. Muhsin Demirel. He learnt Taliq, Ruqah, Diwani and Jali Diwani scripts from Dr. Hüseyin Öksüz. He received his ijazah (authorisation) for Thuluth-Naskh from Fuat Başar in 2019, for Taliq from Dr. Hüseyin Öksüz in 2020.
In 2016, he won the second prize in the Thuluth branch in the ISMEK competition and the prize for Jali Taliq in the Masters of the Future competition. In 2023 Gaziantep International Calligraphy Competition, he received honourable mention and two exhibition awards in Diwani branch. His works are in the State Archives, Directorate of Religious Affairs (DİB) collection and private collections.
The artist, who has exhibited his works in many domestic and international exhibitions, has been working as a lecturer at Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Calligraphy since 2020.
