Şükran Aydın learnt the art of paper marbling thanks to Hikmet Barutçugil and continued her studies in this field. In time, she worked as Barutçugil's assistant and deepened in the art of paper marbling. In 2006, she started to give paper marbling lessons within the Department of Cultural Affairs of Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality. Since 2010, while working as the Coordinator of Culture and Art Activities, she also continued her paper marbling lessons. She is currently organising various exhibitions, talks and competitions in Başakşehir Municipality Şehir Sanat and is the coordinator of the traditional visual arts field within the municipality.

Şükran Aydın, who has made original and qualified works in the fields of organisation, management and art, has prepared the Sakarya Art Gallery Collection, which consists of approximately 65 distinguished works of artists such as Hasan Çelebi, İslam Seçen, Gülbün Mesara, Ülker Erke, Cahide Keskiner, Nusret Çolpan and Dürdane Ünver.
